Unisa is pleased to inform its students that the distribution of laptops to NSFAS students has commenced:
- Due to various lockdown regulations related to Covid-19, Unisa’s regional offices are still closed for distribution. This means that NSFAS students cannot collect their laptops from regional offices, as initially envisaged.
- All students who have applied for NSFAS and opted for a laptop, have been allocated to a supplier of laptops. The suppliers will contact the students directly to arrange for distribution.
- The university is monitoring the distribution of the laptops and trusts that the relevant NSFAS students will receive their laptops shortly.
Who is Qualify To Receive A Free Laptop From Unisa
- Only Unisa students who have applied for the Nsfas bursary are the beneficiaries of the laptops. This excludes students who are already beneficiaries of the National Student Financial Aid Scheme. The university has developed a set of requirements that will guide which students qualify to receive laptops.
