  • Semester 1: The examination date for the 1st semester at Unisa for 2024 is dated 7th June
  • Semester 2: The examination date for the 2nd semester at Unisa for 2024 is dated 5th November

What Is The Pass Mark At Unisa 2024/2025

  • A student “passes” a module when they have received a final mark of 50% and above.

UNISA Pass Mark Pass with distinction

  • A student “passes with distinction” when they obtain a final mark of 75% and above.

What Is Unisa Failed Exams

  • A student “fails” a module when they have received a final mark of less than 50% and is not eligible for further supplementary assessment opportunities. The student is required to re-register for the module.

UNISA January/February 2024 Exams mark release

  • The university has commenced the staggered release of the January/February 2024 examination results. We anticipate that most marks will be released by 17 March 2024. All mark release inquiries should be addressed to exams@unisa.ac.za.
  • Students may apply to purchase a copy of their examination scripts or to have their scripts remarked by 27 March 2024. The online remark application form is available on myUnisa. Log into myUnisa and navigate to the Examination Results tool in the administrative section.

What Are The Unisa Examination Requirements For Unisa 2024/2025

Students preparing for exams keep the following documentation safely and take it along to the examination venue:

  • Registration letter (you will receive this early in the year – it contains your student number as well as the courses that you are enrolled for.)
  • Examination letter from the Registrar (you should receive a letter, usually in September, from the Examinations Department, confirming your exam dates and venue).

How To Calculate A Unisa Semester Exams Pass Mark For 2024

The year-mark contribution towards the final examination mark is calculated as follows:

  • 50% of the mark obtained for assignment 01 Plus
  • 50% of the mark obtained for assignment 02

Your year grade will be equal to half of the grade you received for assignment 01 if you just submit that one assignment. This represents your performance for the year out of a possible 100%. Your year grade will be 40% if, for instance, you receive 80% on assignment 01 and 0% on assignment 2.

What Happens When a Student Is Absent from UNISA Examination

  • A student is deemed to be “absent from examination” when the university did not receive the student’s submission within the allowable submission period. If an undergraduate student is absent from their second examination opportunity, they are required to re-register. Postgraduate students are expected to re-register for the module.
    Unisa does not provide third examination opportunities.
