Unisa’s Short Learning Programs (SLPs) focus on “just in time” and “just enough” learning to meet a specific learning need to be identified by society. They are offered by different centres within the university – each with their own processes, rules and contact details.
Please be reminded that all short learning programs offered by CBM are known as non-formal qualifications.
Registration dates for Short Learning Programs:
- 01 December 2023 – 15 February 2023 ( Semester Courses)
- 01 December 2023 -10 March 2023 (Year Courses)

Short Learning Programs at Unisa are offered through seven academic colleges; namely:
- College of Accounting Sciences
- College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences
- College of Economic and Management Sciences
- College of Education
- College of Human Sciences

- Other Strategic Centres

- Documents Required for Your Online Application for Registration in 2023 Short Learning Programs
- RSA students: a copy of your ID document or ID/passport (international students).
- A copy of your academic transcripts (eg Senior Certificate)

You will not be charged an application fee.
The conclusion of your application will be communicated to you by Unisa by the end of January 2023 for semester courses and the end of February 2023 for year programs.
Short courses and courses are usually three to six months long and consist of one to three modules.
- Certificate Course in Finance Accounting and Taxation.
- Advanced Certificate Program in Data Science.
- Advanced Certificate in Machine Learning and NLP.
- Advanced Certificate in Blockchain Technology.
- Advanced Certificate in Digital Marketing and Communication.
- PHP Certification.
