Unisa Application Requirements For LLM 2024/2025

If you are applying for admission into LLM programmes, you should be providing the following documents:

  •  A South African LLB degree
  • A foreign LLB degree of minimum 4 years duration
  • A B Proc
  • A Postgraduate Diploma in Law on NQF level 8
  • A foreign LLB degree of a minimum 3 years duration and 4 LLB modules selected from the NQF level 8 modules in the LLB degree of which one must be the compulsory research module
  • A foreign LLM. All students with foreign qualifications, including those with qualifications from African countries, must have their qualifications evaluated at SAQA. (www.saqa.org.za)

Note:

  • In addition to the above requirements, applicants must submit a transcript or an academic record. Candidates may also apply for admission via RPL.
  • Admission to the Master’s programme is also based on the availability of adequate supervisory capacity and research expertise in the discipline or department.

Unisa Application Fee For LLM 2024/2025

Pay the online application fee of R135,00 once you have received your Unisa student number.

Please note:

  • The application fee is non-refundable even if you decide not to study through Unisa or do not qualify for admission to Unisa.
  • Use the student number you receive from Unisa AND the application fee reference number (eg STUDENTNUMBER 5370810030).
  • Send your proof of payment to susdepid@unisa.ac.za
  • Visit www.unisa.ac.za/paymentinfo for Unisa’s payment methods and banking details.

An application for a student number does not constitute an application for admission. After you receive your student number, you must still complete the online application for the admission process and upload the compulsory supporting documents.

 How Long Is Unisa LLM Courses 2024/2025

  • A student registered for a 180-credit structured coursework master’s degree must complete the study programme within three years. A student may make an application to the Registrar for one additional year of study. The Registrar will consult with the Executive Dean of the College in which the student is registered.
