Unisa Online Application Date For 2025/2026
If you would like to apply for admission into the 2025/2026 academic year to pursue a qualification of your choice, you will need to apply by the following dates:
- Undergraduate Qualifications: Applications open from September 2024 to October 2024.
- Honours Degrees & Postgraduate Diplomas: Applications open from September 2024 to October 2024.
- Master’s & Doctoral Qualifications: Applications open from September 2024 to November 2024 (some exceptions apply).
- Short Learning Programmes: Applications and registrations open in November 2024. Please check the website regularly for updates.

- Applying for Unisa online comes with an application fee. All applicants are to pay a non-refundable application fee of R135.
Unisa Online Application Requirements 2025/2026
Applicants are to provide the following documents when applying for admission at Unisa for 2025:
- A National Senior Certificate (NSC) validated by Umalusi with an accomplishment grade of 3 (Moderate Achievement, 40-49 per cent) or better in four recognized NSC 20-credit topics is the minimum qualification for entrance to undergraduate diploma studies.
- The average National Senior Certificate score for all students at your school over five years is used to calculate the school disadvantage score.
- Poor-performing schools will receive a maximum of 10 points, while high-achieving institutions will receive a minimum of 0 points.
2025/2026 Admission Requirements At UNISA
Also, before you can submit any Unisa application, you have to make sure that you meet the statutory & college-specific admission requirements and the needed academic points score (APS) for the chosen qualifications. Please, this is the breakdown,
- A Higher certificate requires a minimum APS of 15
- A diploma requires a minimum APS of 18
