Nsfas Application Date For Unisa Students For 2025/2026

Apply for Nsfas by the following dates:

• Nsfas Unisa Online Application Open Date 2025: Nsfas will be opening its online application window for Unisa students to apply for bursary for the 2025/2026 academic year on the 28th of September 2024.
• Nsfas Unisa Online Application Deadline 2025: Applications will be closing for Unisa students applying for Nsfas for the 2025/2026 academic year on the 31st of January 2025.
• Nsfas Appeal Date For Unisa Students 2025: Appeals for new and continuing students will be open from 20 January 2025 to 20 February 2025. (All students are required to appeal directly to NSFAS via the myNSFAS portal).

How To Apply For Nsfas As Unisa Students

• Create a myNSFAS account via this link: https://my.nsfas.org.za/ or download the NSFAS App on Google Play or App Store. Your ID number will be your username.
• Click on the ‘Apply’ tab to update your personal information and upload your application supporting documents, as indicated.
• Submit your application.

Who Qualifies For Nsfas Funding At Unisa

You qualify for Nsfas if:

• South African citizens or permanent residents
• SASSA grant recipients
• Applicants whose combined gross household income is not more than R350 000 per year.
• Persons with disabilities whose combined gross household income is not more than R600 000 per year.

Required Documents Needed For Unisa Nsfas Application:

All applicants must provide:

• Valid South African ID number of Applicant
• Valid South African ID number of parent(s), guardian, or spouse
• Income information where applicable.
• Students with disabilities must provide: A completed and signed Disability Annexure A Form (available on the website)

Students recognised as vulnerable children must provide:

• An applicant who is recognised as a vulnerable child by the Department of Social Development must provide and Vulnerable Child Declaration form completed by a social worker (available on the website)

Unisa Courses Not Funded by NSFAS 2025/2026:
